Porter Stansberry revealed that his largest personal investment this year is in Southern Georgia pine trees (“They continue to grow whether the Fed inflates or not.”), and he believes that silver, “poor man’s gold,” will be trading above $50 by 2013.

The Stansberry Radio Network hosted two prominent members of the online financial press last week. On Stansberry Radio with Porter Stansberry, Capital Account’s Lauren Lyster from RT America participated in a discussion about economics and preferred investment choices.

Lyster said she favors alternative investments over stocks and bonds because “scary” macroeconomics and Fed moves trump company fundamentals these days. Porter Stansberry revealed that his largest personal investment this year is in Southern Georgia pine trees (“They continue to grow whether the Fed inflates or not.”), and he believes that silver, “poor man’s gold,” will be trading above $50 by the end of the year.
