Haven Books Ltd has grown organically and through acquisition, to post an annual turnover figure of c.£15m in 2011-12 and employs over 100 people.
Managing Director Steve Cheetham said of the expansion: “Our old premises on Rollesby Road were simply no longer fit for purpose and following the significant growth of the company and in conjunction with the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, we have developed a new business environment which allows for continued expansion, enhanced customer service and improves significantly the working conditions for our team of dedicated staff. The move has allowed us to restructure our warehouse, implement a new library area, provide improved meeting space, more welfare facilities, alongside the creation of a modern brightly lit, airy, cool, professional environment for our telesales and customer service operation”.
Sue Hansell HR Manager said: “Our team are absolutely delighted with our new warehouse and offices.”
Mr Cheetham also said that he was very confident of continued success in the challenging market of education sales due to the innovative nature of the products developed by the Haven Books team.
“Our excellent Product Development team are first class and in conjunction with teachers, publishers and educational professionals, are constantly developing well thought out and needed educational resources. Providing teaching solutions is what we do best and the new environment will certainly makes the whole process more efficient and customer focused.“
