With the rate of canine cancer reaching epidemic proportions, Local Invisible Fence® Brand dealership, StayDog, has launched a campaign to raise the awareness of the issue and contribute to the search for it’s cure. Go K9Pink with StayDog is a year-long campaign to raise money in support of the National Canine Cancer Foundation’s search for a cure. According to the National Canine Cancer Foundation, Canine Cancer affects one out of every three dogs. Of those, over half will die of cancer.

The campaign was launched shortly after StayDog Partner, Bill Annesley lost his beloved pet Sammy, to canine caner after a short battle with the disease. “As an Invisible Fence® business veteran for the last 25 years I know the importance of keeping dogs safe at home. I now know the importance of finding a cure for canine cancer.” Bill also says that he never knew certain breeds, like Golden Retrievers, have an even higher risk of death from cancer.

Business and Development Manager and Partner at StayDog, Kelly Cancelmo, has been focusing on reaching out and educating people about canine cancer. She has rallied local Veterinarians and other pet businesses in the greater Philadelphia suburbs in support of this cause. “My love for pets combined with my personal experience of losing a family member to cancer has made this cause something I hold dear to my heart.” There is an ever-growing link between research in canine cancer and treatments for human cancer. According to Dr. Stephen Withrow, director of the world’s largest Animal Cancer Center at Colorado State University, “Comparative and translational research acknowledges that cancer is cancer regardless of species, and that discoveries in either dogs or humans will have rapid acceptance in the other species.”

During the Go K9Pink with StayDog Campaign, StayDog will make a donation for every new customer who gets a professionally installed pet containment system from StayDog. Installations will be completed with our specially designed K9Pink wire. In addition StayDog will make a donation for every purchase of any of their K9Pink designated products made including their K9Pink T-Shirts.
