Innovative t shirt firm, 8Ball, has responded to news that Adidas and Stella McCartney have teamed up to launch a DryDye t shirt.

We’re always curious to see what those around us are doing in the industry

As one of the leading names in fashion design, Stella McCartney has joined forces with global sports brand, Adidas, to unveil a new t shirt using revolutionary new technology, DryDye. The initiative is the first of its kind and is designed to save on the vast amounts of water needed to dye clothing around the world. In pledging its support to the cause, Adidas has created DryDye, with a view to reducing water consumption, energy use and a need for chemical use, instead relying on pressurised CO2. As part of the autumn/ winter 2012 collection, the t shirt depicts a striking blue and white leopard print design.

The team at UK-based t shirt company, 8 Ball, are renowned for their range of cutting edge designs and original take on popular culture. Regularly conducting their own research into industry updates and developments, 8 Ball came across this particular news with great interest. A representative from the firm shares their thoughts on the matter.

“We’re always curious to see what those around us are doing in the industry and this story was particularly interesting as it involves cutting edge technology, but still manages to fuse comfort and style with a batwing cap sleeve and round scoop neck.”

8 Ball continue to follow the progress of this venture.
