General Welding & Fabricating is owned by Mark Andol, the same entrepreneur that started the Made In America Store. In fact, the Made In America Store was opened as a response to the economy and the massive layoffs that needed to be done to keep the fabrication plant afloat.

Andol lost a multi-million dollar contract to a Chinese Steel company who could get the steel at a fraction of the cost that Andol could. This forced Andol to lay off a third of his work force to keep his business from going under.

General Welding & Fabricating is a steel fabrication plant in Elma, New York, that is owned by Mark Andol. Andol, who also started the Made In America Store, has been linking the two businesses to create a unique shopping experience. Some of the steel products at the Made In America Store were manufactured right at General Welding & Fabricating.

“Christmas just isn’t the same when you have to lay off your brother-in-law,” said Mark Andol.
