Medacheck LLC an Ohio based startup announced its new partnership with VRI , the leader in the home health care monitoring solutions. We are in the process of creating a better product by partnering with a company that really understands the needs of our customers says Jeffrey Shepard, CEO of Medacheck LLC. This partnership will leverage VRI’s expertise of understanding and experience in helping individuals remember to take their medications as prescribed.
We couldn’t be more excited about our partnership with VRI states Shepard. The ability to add the features and personalized phone call to our Virtual Pillbox builds a personalized touch unmatched on a product that reminds customers to take their medication as prescribed by their doctor. Working with VRI has helped us mature in our product development and understanding of the marketplace. They are doing amazing things at VRI, and we want to partner with the best.
Chris Hendriksen, President of VRI, agrees that the partnership is an exciting opportunity. “Medication adherence is a bigger problem than most people realize. It’s a $290 billion dollar problem in the US, and leads to a massive number of hospitalizations and deaths. We have worked hard over the past 20 years to provide unique monitoring solutions for our clients, and we believe Medacheck’s service is an innovative leap forward towards solving the problem.”
VRI has been providing medication adherence monitoring solutions since 1996 and serves clients through health plans, hospitals, government funded programs and direct pay by consumers. Hendriksen added, “ It’s exciting to see a young company like Medacheck involved in medication adherence. We’ve been targeting this problem for a long time, but Medacheck brings great experience from technology and pharma, and combines them into an easy to use solution.”
Shepard believes that this partnership along with the launch of its beta product into a soon to be named national pharmacy group will provide Medacheck with great exposure and help the start-up continue to grow rapidly.
We are really excited about the next couple months, as our product begins to interact with more and more customers through our beta launch and partnerships like VRI. Taking your medication is something that has value not only to people’s lives, but also solves the multi-billion dollar problem of medication adherence. With partnerships such as the integration of the VRI “human touch” we feel our product will be more successful in the marketplace and gain popularity quickly with both patients and caregivers.
