Physicians Angels, Inc. – the sole provider of virtual medical scribes to medical practices – has added a dozen new healthcare providers this quarter to its expanding client list.

Physicians Angels, Inc. has signed agreements with an additional dozen healthcare providers this quarter to provide an array of high-quality medical data management services. Physicians Angels' core offering is its one-of-a-kind Virtual Medical Scribe service. Physicians Angels’ virtual scribes allow healthcare providers to use their Electronic Health Records (EHR) more efficiently by completing documentation for them in real time during patient exams.

Among those who have signed on to use Physicians Angels’ services the past month are doctors and physicians assistants with:

New Mexico Sinus Institute – Albuquerque, NM
All-Star Orthopedics of Austin – Austin, TX
Hamzavi Dermatology – Detroit, MI
Del Rey ENT Associates – Los Angeles, CA
Medical Park ENT – Lewisburg, PA
The Toledo Clinic – Toledo, OH

Physicians Angels designed its core Virtual Medical Scribe service based on a growing body of research showing that EHR software decreases doctors’ productivity by converting the most expensive labor in a medical practice – doctors – into inefficient data-entry personnel.

Our scribes work seamlessly with any EHR and with a medical office’s existing IT system and personnel. Among the core tasks our virtual scribes perform during patient exams:

  • Chart patient visits for doctors
  • Enter CPT/ICD codes for billing purposes
  • Process e-prescriptions
  • Generate referral letters

Physicians Angels, Inc. remains in a rapid growth stage since completing a successful first round of funding in mid-2011. The company offers services and products to doctors in the following core specialties: otolaryngology, urology, orthopedics, primary care, pain management, dermatology, family and internal medicine, and endocrinology.
