Weddings and technology are merging and on the forefront of this shift is Snapable, a photo sharing app that allows couples to create an online album and provides guests with a free app allowing them to instantly upload the photos taken at the wedding.
Location based app, Snapable recently launched a new photo sharing app for weddings. The mobile app, now available for iOS with an Android version to follow, allows guests to instantly upload the photos they take to the couples wedding album. The perfect replacement to disposable camera’s often used at weddings, Snapable takes the hassle out of chasing guests for photos after the wedding while providing a way for friends and family to become more involved on the big day.
According to CEO Andrew Draper, the goal was to provide a simple way for couples to collect every photo taken at the wedding, while making it as easy as possible for guests to participate. “Before Snapable, couples used disposable cameras to encourage guests to take photos. With a room full of smartphones at every wedding, this method is both outdated and costly for the couple.”
To start, couples create an account via http://snapable.com, setting up their event location, date, time and privacy settings. Once the event is created, couples are provided with the information needed for guests to participate. The process is simple, guests download the app, find the event, and if the event is marked as private they enter the access code provided.
Snapable is free on the app store for guests and also provides a free version for the bride and groom. Couples can also choose to upgrade including print packages, live streaming , additional photo storage and more.
Draper goes on to say, “there simply isn’t an easier solution to instantly capture your guests wedding photos. No more chasing people after the wedding or sifting through their Facebook pages. It’s easy for everyone.”

Snapable is a location-based photo sharing app that allows event organizers to set up an online album and provides participants access to the album in order to collect photos taken at the event. In contrast to other photo sharing solutions, Snapable collects the event location, geo-fencing the event to provide easy access to participants while ensuring customized privacy settings are intact.
