The Covenant School has announced a special night of music and art in celebration and support of their school community. On Thursday, October 25, the Covenant School Parents’ Association will be holding their Fall fundraising event, “A Knight of the Arts.” The event is scheduled to begin with an art show at 6:00 p.m. and will then resume at 7:15 p.m. with a concert. The event is to be held at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, which also happens to be the location where Covenant School classes are held.
Part of the Parents’ Association’s goal is to organize annual events that raise funding and support for the school. These events are also a key element to building public awareness concerning The Covenant School mission. Revenues collected from ticket sales to events like “A Knight of the Arts” go towards improving the school and helping provide children and teachers with better learning resources.
“A Knight of the Arts” combines a special evening of music with art enrichment. The evening will begin with an art show featuring stunning works of art from a variety of local Nashville artists. During the exhibition visitors will have the opportunity to purchase and take home artwork. After the art show they night will continue with a special concert featuring world renowned musical duo Bruce Wethey and Lisa LaCross. There will also be performances by the following artists: Georgia Edgeworth, Mary Maples, Haley Blank, Julie Russell and Thomas Russell.
“We are looking forward to a wonderful night full of beautiful artwork and moving music, “stated Dr. Catherine Graham, Head of The Covenant School. “With such incredible artists and amazing performers, it's bound to be a stunning evening to remember while supporting the education of our Covenant Students.”
