Washington, DC (PRWEB) September 25, 2012
A pair of experts speaking at an upcoming WPL Publishing webinar will discuss a myriad of challenges that subcontractors face when attempting to assert and win delay claims.
Subcontractors, like general contractors, are frequently impacted by events and actions beyond their control. In addition to the typical risks involved in construction (i.e., changes, differing site conditions, work stoppages, delays, material and craft labor shortages, adverse weather, etc.), subcontractors face other problems. Subcontractors routinely deal with four sets of problems on every construction project. These problems are caused by general contractors, owners, other subcontractors, and third parties or force majeure events. The webinar will address these types of problems and the delay claims associated with them. To register for the 90-minute event, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. (EDT), visit http://tinyurl.com/d2swypx.
The webinar, entitled “Proving and Pricing Subcontractor Delay Claims,” is designed to help attendees do the following:
Addressing attendees will be Navigant Construction Forum Executive Director James Zack and Navigant Consulting Inc. Associate Director Thomas Peters. For 40 years, Mr. Zack has worked on both private and public projects. In the construction claims field, he is a recognized and published expert in mitigation, analysis, and resolution or defense of construction claims and disputes. Mr. Peters is a CPM delay expert who specializes in the analysis of complex time-related construction disputes. He is a certified forensic claims consultant and a registered civil engineer in California and has more than 30 years of professional experience in the construction industry.
After their presentations, there will be an interactive 10-to-15 minute question-and-answer session addressing relevant topics.
Webinar tuition is based on location, not number of participants, so each registration site can have multiple participants for one low price. To register, visit http://tinyurl.com/d2swypx.
