Salsa Labs, the pioneering technology network and platform that has helped hundreds of campaigns and organizations reach out to people across America over the past decade, is joining forces with over 1,000 other organizations throughout the country in an enormous effort to get more voters involved in America’s political system.
September 25th is recognized by the National Association of Secretaries of State as National Voter Registration Day. The effort is already endorsed by people like Rosario Dawson, Russell Simmons, and others; organizers are hosting events across the country, and are busy organizing volunteers on and around that date.
Salsa Labs powers the technological efforts of Young Democrats of America and other organizations like them. They all recognize the vital need to reach out to people and bring them into the political process. Voting is a critical part of that process; that’s why Salsa Labs has joined this coalition.

The involvement of Salsa Labs underscores the importance of using technology to expand the universe of people participating in American politics. This need is underscored by the fact that 6 million Americans didn’t vote in 2008 because they either didn’t know how to register to vote, or missed the deadline to do so. National Voter Registration Day aims to redress that fact.
