We are tremendously pleased that the Foundation's grant will help support the introduction of Smart Kids with LD in Westchester County.
Westport, CT (PRWEB) September 25, 2012
Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities, Inc. (SKLD) is pleased to announce that it has received a $25,000 grant from the Laurence W. Levine Foundation, Inc. The grant will be used to support SKLD’s ongoing programs, including the development of timely content for its comprehensive website and free e-newsletter. The website provides information for parents and educators on the evaluation and treatment of learning disabilities (LD) and attention deficit disorders (ADHD), as well as practical advice and emotional support from other parents. In addition, it offers inspiration through the profiles of notably successful adults with LD and ADHD, including the organization’s Honorary Chairman, Henry Winkler.
The $25,000 grant will also help establish the introduction of SKLD’s educational programs and its networking and support for parents into Westchester County.
“We are delighted to receive the support of the Laurence W. Levine Foundation in expanding our current programs and online publications empowering parents of children with learning disabilities and ADHD to help their children,” said Jane Ross, founder and Executive Director of Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities, Inc. “In addition, we are tremendously pleased that the Foundation’s grant will help support the introduction of our educational programs and parent networking activities into Westchester County.”
