KittiParty.com, a new social network focused on offline socializing among women in India, launches this fall.

Kitti Parties have been occurring for around a century in India but now we are giving people the option of digitizing their kitti party and taking their entire experience online.

A new social networking platform, KittiParty.com, is set to change the way women in India plan and enjoy kitti parties. Kitti parties are a longstanding social phenomenon among Indian women where one member hosts a party, and each member guest contributes a sum of money to the kitti which the host receives at the end of the event, or one guest wins the kitti through a lucky draw and in turn hosts the next event. This process continues until every other member has hosted a party. In the last few years, kitti parties have seen an elevation in style and opulence with many parties being held in luxury resorts and restaurants, increasingly high kitties, and more recently, couples kitties where men are included.

KittiParty.com provides users with the necessary tools to connect and plan kitti parties on one central platform while providing features that promote user-generated content such as photo sharing and blogs. KittiParty.com will expose users to new venues and resources that prove to be useful in the planning and execution of a successful kitti party. According to founder, businessman Angad Soni, “Kitti Parties have been occurring for around a century in India but now we are giving people the option of digitizing their kitti party and taking their entire experience online.”

KittiParty.com will not only bring one of the most celebrated social cultures in India onto the Internet, but Soni hopes the social network will promote and support young and emerging businesses in India by providing users with a platform through which to promote their own businesses, and those of their friends through a magazine feature on the site.

Kittiparty.com will launch in the fall of 2012. Users will primarily consist of single and married females living in India but the social network expects to attract a number of male users as well.
