WPS is providing financial support and is anticipating a team of 200 or more walkers to help raise additional funds and awareness of heart-related diseases.

The Madison Heart Walk is a benefit for the South Central Wisconsin Chapter of the American Heart Association. This family-friendly event will be held Oct. 13 at Warner Park in Madison.

Since 1924, the American Heart Association has been the largest voluntary health association. It helps protect people of all ages and ethnicities from the ravages of heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases. These diseases devastate millions of people of all ages and take more than 910,000 American lives each year.
