Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) September 27, 2012
Basement Doctor of Cincinnati recently sponsored a golf event to raise funds for Josh Cares, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comfort to critically ill hospitalized children.
Basement Doctor of Cincinnati showed their support by sponsoring a water hazard and two holes on the golf course at the 2nd Annual Ryan Korengel Golf Outing held September 20th at the Terrace Park Country Club in Milford. They also offered the chance to win a battery back-up sump pump to any golfer whose ball landed in the water. The popular event sold out well in advance with all proceeds going to fund a Josh Care’s Fellow at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Josh Cares Fellows are certified, professionally trained Child Life Specialists who provide consistent care, companionship, and advocacy for a child whose family is unable to be with them. They fill the gap when an average of 25 critically ill children at any given time are without the family support they need to continue healing. The Josh Cares Program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital has grown to support six Fellows who have provided friendship and comfort to hundreds of children.
