Without participating in this space, the company misses major marketing opportunities that will generate additional sales volume.

The full featured mobile web and application platform will feature a mobile website, mobile store locator, and apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android, the Klein tools mobile platform will allow customers to interact with branded Klein Tools content across the entire mobile ecosystem.

According to Klein Tools, adopting the Where 2 Get It mobile platform was crucial in reaching their growing mobile audience. Regarding the desktop-to-mobile web transition, Director of EBusiness for Klein Tools, Bryan McGraw Stated, ”Without participating in this space, the company misses major marketing opportunities that will generate additional sales volume.”

To better understand the mobile opportunity, Klein Tools set out to attain mobile analytics and conduct a user opinion survey. Their results found that mobile users are a strong audience for their existing website, KleinTools.com. In a month’s span mobile users made up 22% of KleinTools.com’s visits. A high approval rate for a mobile experience was discovered from surveys, with a 57% approval rate for homeowners and a 73% approval rate for tradespeople. The partnership Klein Tools has made with Where 2 Get It to not only power but optimize their mobile platform-reducing a high mobile bounce rate-highlights the support Klein Tools will be giving its current and future mobile users by ensuring a great mobile experience.

Mobile optimization is critical because mobile devices offer a fundamentally different user experience from that of a desktop experience. Mobile users are busy, action-oriented consumers often looking for information on-the-go. One may only spend a few seconds on a webpage, and as such, efficiency, ease-of-use, and aesthetics are key.

Klein Tools chose to partner with Where 2 Get It because of the completeness of Where 2 Get It’s product line, as well as Where 2 Get It’s extensive experience in developing mobile solutions for the world’s leading brands. Describing the partnership, Where 2 Get it Director of Product Management Ruel Macaraeg stated, “We are thrilled that Klein Tools has selected Where 2 Get It to develop these exciting mobile solutions. Klein Tools has been a valued client since 2007, and this upcoming mobile project will demonstrate how a leading brand like Klein Tools can leverage the Where 2 Get It mobile platform to deliver a best-in-class user experience.”

With Where 2 Get It’s help, Klein Tools will implement a broad range of cutting-edge mobile solutions, including:

Responsive design, allowing a given webpage to automatically resize and restyle itself for an optimal experience across a wide range of mobile devices.

Mobile locator, allowing Klein Tools customers to easily locate a retailer by using their phone’s built-in GPS functionality.

Mobile product catalog, allowing users to quickly and easily discover product details on their device of choice.

Cross-platform mobile applications with embedded locators, to provide Klein Tools customers with both product and brand information as well as local shopping options.

The Klein Tools mobile development project has already begun. Both Where 2 Get it and Klein Tools are extremely excited to propel a leading brand into the next era of mobile computing.
