Dade Moeller announces that its Human Resources Department Manager, Roshelle Pavlin, has been elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross Benton-Franklin Chapter.

Local radiation safety and industrial hygiene firm Dade Moeller announces that its Human Resources Department Manager, Roshelle Pavlin, has been elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross Benton-Franklin Chapter. Her duties will include championing the American Red Cross mission in the local community by ensuring sufficient funding, promoting community partnerships and good will, and developing ongoing leadership as part of the national organization. Pavlin also will be trained to assist during emergencies and/or disasters.

Pavlin is responsible for setting the company’s precedent as an active Red Cross corporate partner. She spearheaded the success of Dade Moeller’s first blood drive at its Richland, Wash., headquarters in January 2012, followed by equally successful drives at the Dade Moeller Oak Ridge, Tenn., office and again in Richland in July. Pavlin also inspired Dade Moeller’s sponsorship of the largest local fundraising event of the year, the Red Cross Real Heroes Breakfast, held in March 2012. Largely based on Pavlin’s efforts, Dade Moeller was recognized as the Benton-Franklin Chapter’s “New Partner of the Year” in May 2012.

“It is an honor to serve our community through the American Red Cross,” said Pavlin, who became a dedicated Red Cross blood donor a decade ago when a friend’s near-fatal accident emphasized to her the life-saving importance of local blood donors. “After almost losing my friend in 2002,” said Pavlin, “I made a commitment to donate every eight weeks; I have been doing so ever since.”

In addition to serving on the Red Cross board, Pavlin, a resident of Prosser, Wash., is Chairperson of the Historic Downtown Prosser Association’s Promotion Committee, and, as a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, she also serves on the Society for Human Resource Management Washington State Council.
