A blog is a great way to improve your content marketing strategy
Calabasas, CA (PRWEB) September 26, 2012
Calabasas based Captain Marketing has announced they are introducing expanded blogging services for small to mid sized businesses, designed to help increase traffic and improve conversions with meaningful, keyword rich web content and regular postings. These blogging packages will be offered at a variety of price points, with affordable options for clients ranging from large companies with multiple locations and products, to the smallest family owned business interested only in a small, introductory blogging program.
“A blog is a great way to improve your content marketing strategy,” says Captain Marketing’s senior copywriter and blogger, Sarah Kelley. “It’s also a chance to really educate your customer about what makes your company special, and engage them on a meaningful level about the subjects they find relevant.” Indeed, among Fortune 500 companies polled by University of Massachusetts in 2012, there was a 5% increase in a company blog as a significant part of their marketing strategies. This trend, however, does not appear yet in the world of small to midsize businesses as evidenced by a study commissioned by Percussion Market Research also in 2012. In their survey of approximately 830 small to midsize businesses, most still hadn’t fully utilized blogging as a significant marketing tool . Only 20.5% of the small to midsize businesses polled reported having a blog at all, and of those that did, fully 25% had not posted to it within thirty days of taking the Percussion survey. These numbers contrast starkly with the 90% of small businesses responding to the poll who reported that effective B2B content was the top priority for their current marketing strategy. Sarah explains this as largely a function of budget and time constraints. “Most smaller companies don’t have the time or money for effective blogging,” she explains. “Yet, when it’s done well, your blog can not only boost keyword density and SEO rankings, but really create a brand identity and what Percussion refers to as “resource intensive” content, information that your customers can refer to again and again.”
With these new services, Captain Marketing offers a variety of low priced packages, each unique in terms of blog length and number of postings per month. With the most popular of these new blog services at eight 50 word blogs per month, Captain Marketing also has clients with subscriptions ranging from just two 50 word blogs per month, up to fifty 50 word blogs, released in groups as weekly postings. The company also reports that these 50 word blogs can be combined into larger units of content, depending on the subject matter and the preferences of the client. However they are generated, the increased content and keyword density on any website from these blogs with Captain Marketing can be expected to boost SERP rankings, as per the new content demands of the search engine algorithms. At best, according to Sarah, “it’s a new opportunity for businesses to express their personal vision for what their company is and can be, through content on the web.”
