Contest-based marketing platform Dobango allows brands to interact directly with millions of Pinterest users

Dobango, Inc. is today officially launching the first real social marketing platform on Pinterest, finally giving brands a way to directly engage with their customers and fans on the virtual pinboard.

Since the social network launched, brands have been anxiously awaiting a method that allows interaction with Pinterest’s massive and highly engaged audience. While Pinterest has yet to release any developer APIs, Dobango has forged ahead, creating an integrated platform that allows any brand to create and manage contests specifically designed to reach its target audience.

Outta the Park’s Pinterest following increased by over 150%, and its Facebook following increased by 40% as result of the contest. These results were aggregated with purely organic traffic.

Dobango is successful because it allows brands to reward the behavior people already demonstrate on Pinterest, tracking pins in real-time and awarding prizes to users.
