The CollegeBound Network relaunches #CollegeBound Twitter chat in October

Our Twitter strategy is an extension of our overall mission of educating prospective students and their parents about the college admissions process, college life, financial aid, and more.

The CollegeBound Network (CBN), a trusted resource for information about college and career school options, relaunches its popular #CollegeBound Twitter chat on Wednesday, October 3rd at 4 p.m. ET. Originally founded in 2010, #CollegeBound joins potential students with college admissions reps, higher education officials, faculty, career experts, current students, and others.

“Students and their parents are always looking for survival strategies and simple solutions when it comes to college admissions and campus life,” says Gina LaGuardia, CBN’s vice president of content development and social media. “It’s our goal to bring together our #CollegeBound friends every other week in a real-time forum to share advice and experiences, voice concerns and ask questions, and build a community around this all-important life transition.”

After a brief summer hiatus, #CollegeBound returns with a new schedule (every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month), and an exciting lineup of topics and guest expert hosts. Participants will be eligible to win prizes and giveaways as well. Among the first guests to sign on include Jodi Okun (@jodiokun), financial aid expert and founder of the popular #CollegeCash chat, and Suzanne Shaffer (@suzanneshaffer), a well-known expert for parents navigating the college process. Chat topics for October will be “Getting in the School Groove” and “Ultimate SAT Tips, Tools, and Tactics”; November will tackle “The College Cash Crunch” and “Tips for a Stress-Free College Application Season.” Future chats will center around alternatives to four-year colleges, staying safe on campus, GPA-boosting study tips, and more.

The CollegeBound Network’s Twitter profile (@CollegeBoundNet) is an extension of the company’s overall mission of educating prospective students and their parents about the college admissions process, college life, financial aid, and more. “The best part is, thanks to social media, we can keep the conversation going beyond our hourly chat sessions on our Facebook page, at our College: U. Got It? blog, within our LinkedIn CollegeBound Experts group, and of course, by using the #CollegeBound hashtag anytime."
