tibbr users receive recommendations of knowledge and expertise that are relevant to their current context and that are personalized

ManyWorlds’ Synxi® machine learning-based discovery apps are now integrated with tibbr®, an industry leading enterprise social platform offered by TIBCO.
tibbr users receive recommendations of knowledge and expertise that are relevant to their current context and personalized based on the system’s experience with each user. The result is faster, smarter, and more productive organizations.
Users can request recommended tibbr messages, subjects, other users, and optionally, even Microsoft® SharePoint® documents from a selected tibbr post. The recommendation engine takes into consideration the context of the selected post, applies sophisticated user interest and expertise inferences, and then filters on relevancy, quality, and tunable factors so as to deliver just the knowledge and expertise that is most valuable to the specific user.
tibbr users can also receive streams of tibbr posts that are inferred to be most relevant to them personally, and the streams can even be tuned by each user according to their preferences for factors such as social attention or alignment with the user’s inferred interests. It’s a great way to ensure users don’t miss the most important information and developments relevant to them even when they are extremely busy or traveling.
In a current implementation at a Fortune 500 energy company, a drilling engineer who is viewing a colleague’s tibbr post about a new approach being applied in another part of the world receives, based on Synxi’s continuous learning of their particular interests:
- personalized recommendations of other posts and subjects that are relevant to the context
of the post being viewed
- recommendations of colleagues who are inferred to have particular expertise in the specific
subjects at hand
- optional personalized recommendations of relevant SharePoint documents
With this adaptive package of up-to-the-minute insights and expertise contacts, the engineer can quickly determine actions that take best advantage of the new information.
“Integrating ManyWorlds with tibbr gives employees context around the work they’re doing that helps surface the information that’s most relevant and helps them get their best work done,” said Sriram Chakravarthy, Vice President, Products and Engineering, Social Computing, TIBCO Software. “By creating a broad ecosystem of partners, we’re expanding the capabilities of tibbr to encompass the needs and demands of businesses across all verticals, empowering their employees to get work done”
