Springer Publishing Company is proud to announce that Elizabeth Nieginski has joined its Nursing program as Executive Editor, and will be contributing to the expansion of the well-known program which has been publishing pioneering nursing works for over 60 years. Nieginski joins Springer Publishing Company after more than 25 years of acquiring, developing, and managing successful text and electronic publishing programs for the nursing and medical educational markets.

“Springer Publishing’s independence makes it easier to strategize, initiate, and execute new publication projects, in addition to allowing for a significantly shorter time to market,” said Nieginski. “I’m excited to be part of such a nimble organization whose business model favors growth and innovation, and allows us to more quickly and effectively provide our audience with important and breakthrough books.”

Nieginski’s arrival is the most recent reflection of Springer Publishing’s quickly evolving Nursing program, which offers books, journals, and electronic products. Nieginski’s areas of focus will include Critical Care Nursing, Maternity and Women’s Health Nursing, Pediatric and Neonatal Nursing, and Gerontological Nursing, in addition to related areas. She will also be working on RN to BSN course publications.

The expansion of Springer Publishing’s Nursing program comes on the heels of the company receiving top honors in the 2011 American Journal of Nursing (AJN) Book of the Year Awards. The awards program, regarded as the most important designation of excellence for nursing books, gave the coveted honor to 10 of Springer Publishing’s books, more than any other publisher.

Margaret Zuccarini, Nursing Publisher at Springer Publishing Company, commented on the program’s growth, “We are delighted to welcome Elizabeth Nieginski to our company and Nursing program which, over the past few years, has focused on meeting the evolving academic and professional needs of nursing graduate courses and advanced practice nurses. We are proud to be meeting these needs and to be growing Springer’s innovative and leading Nursing publishing program.”
