An action packed initiative to nurture children’s talents in a fun learning environment Emmanuel Stroobant leads ‘Super Chef’ camp

Cognita, one of the world’s leading education providers, today announced the launch of Camp Asia at Stamford American International School. Camp Asia brings a variety of multi-activities or specialist camps that allow children to explore their passions and develop their talents in a fun and conducive learning environment.

Running from 22 October to 26 October, the camps offer children aged 3 to 11 years old a range of activities spanning art, music, sports, cooking and drama that broaden their learning experience beyond the typical academic setting.

Besides offering places to children from Stamford American International School - Camp Asia also welcomes children from across Singapore.

These activities are designed to develop the children’s physical and artistic talents, said Mr Brian Rogove, Cognita’s Chief Executive for Asia Pacific. “Providing children with enriching learning experiences is essential in helping them reach their full potential,” he said. “Camp Asia’s activities are a great way for children to develop skills such as team work and leadership which will benefit them throughout their lives.”

One of the highlights of Camp Asia this year is the ‘Super Chef Camp’ which is run by Celebrity chef Emmanuel Stroobant - ‘The Chef in Black’, and his team of highly trained chefs from Saint Pierre. Participating children will feel like they are a part of Junior Master Chef as they learn culinary techniques to prepare delicious meals.

“One of the great things about young children is their ability to dream big - whether they aspire to be the next celebrity chef, pop idol or an Olympic champion. We want to encourage this self belief in young people by exposing them to individuals who can serve as an inspiration,” added Mr. Rogove.

Other activities on offer include:

  • ‘Sports Stars Camp’ which aids the development of core skills in swimming, basketball, judo and golf; and
  • ‘Multi-Activity camp’ which combines arts and craft, sports and performing arts for a more well rounded exposure

The camps will be held at Stamford American International School. For bookings, log on to:
