RemodelingCentral.com has announced their focus on do-it-yourself family projects. Though there are several RemodelingCentral.com do-it-yourself projects currently available on the site, the site content team will be focusing on do-it-yourself family projects. In a recent discussion with site manager Jeff Giles, the reason behind this focus and what this focus will cover was mentioned in depth.
“Family remodeling and do-it-yourself projects have become increasingly popular throughout the Internet. Sites such as Pinterest and social marketing sites such as Facebook are filled with pictures of do-it-yourself projects that involve the entire family. RemodelingCentral.com wants to offer our readers the chance to find new and innovative projects that their family can accomplish as a unit. This focus will not only be on simple and quick do-it-yourself projects but will also be on projects that can take longer than a weekend. Many of these projects will be designed to enhance the living area for children or to increase the living area for children as children get older. For example, we find that many individuals will has family playrooms or children's play rooms that do not grow with the child. Our do-it-yourself family projects will cover this aspect and allow families to find different ways to adapt the house as the children become older.”
Mr. Giles stated that the do-it-yourself family projects will include a comprehensive guide on how to complete the project, some examples of finished projects and the materials that will be necessary to complete the project. He also stated that most project sheets on RemodelingCentral.com come with a price guide based on the current prices at many home improvement centers. This allows families to budget in the project and to shop around for better pricing or to at least have some sort of idea of the pricing prior to starting the project.
This is one of many focuses that RemodelingCentral.com will be taking on in coming weeks. Do-it-yourself projects will appear regularly on the site and will have a rating scale to allow families to decide the difficulty level of the project, time consumption of the project and the price of the projects of that they can better determine the type of project that fits their family's needs, budget and their families time constraints. In order to stay updated on current and new do-it-yourself family project postings, readers are encouraged to subscribe to the RemodelingCentral.com blog and to bookmark the RemodelingCentral.com site.
