Emblation Microwave will be hosting a fringe session at The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists 100th Anniversary Conference and Exhibition in order to give delegates a first look at Swift – the pioneering microwave therapy system for skin. The event will take place at the SECC in Glasgow between the 11th and 13th of October and will focus on the future of Podiatry, with a number of high profile keynote speakers including Professor Brian Cox, BBC Presenter and Professor of Particle Physics at the University of Manchester, and Nicola Sturgeon, Deputy First Minister of Scotland.

Emblation’s fringe session is being held on Friday 12th October between 8am and 9am in the Dochart Suite at the SECC, and will be hosted by Emblation CEO Gary Beale and Dr Ivan Bristow, Dean of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine at the University of Southampton. The session will give delegates the opportunity to see the Swift microwave therapy system in action, learn more about microwave therapy and its uses and will also include complimentary tea, coffee and pastries.

Swift is a new microwave based treatment system which provides Podiatrists and Dermatologists a fast, simple and precise way of treating skin lesions. With treatment times in seconds, Swift delivers rapid internal heat generation with minimal pain and has been developed using microwave technology to ensure accurate and precise ablation zones. The use of microwaves allows practitioners to treat to a pre-determined depth and guarantees a fully repeatable procedure.

This year the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists celebrates 100 years of organised UK Podiatry and will welcome delegates from both the UK and the USA. With a focus on the future of Podiatry, this unique event will also give Podiatrists, Chiropodists and Dermatologists an opportunity to consider how far the industry has come in that time as well as looking forward to new techniques, innovations and approaches for the future.
