Protect Your Bubble has gotten wind of photos of a new tablet device containing Apple branding, which have recently surfaced. The device is rumored to be a smaller version of Apple’s iPad device. While there have been no official announcements from Apple on the topic, foreign suppliers have hinted about the company's plans for a smaller tablet.
According to InformationWeek.com, “The latest leaked images show a device that makes use of an aluminum shell, which has become synonymous with Apple's iPad. Based on the images, the iPad Mini's aluminum shell is thicker and somewhat less attractive than the new iPad, thanks to thicker edges.”
Although the images don’t provide details on size measurements, popular assumption is that the iPad Mini will feature a 7.85 inches display. This is quite a contrast from the current iPad display size, measuring in at 9.7-inches. Also visible in the leaked photos are presumably two cameras; front and back. The smaller port size on the iPad Mini doesn’t come as a surprised following the iPhone 5’s lightning port.
As far as other features? That’s anyone’s guess right now. But, Protect Your Bubble is hoping for Retina Display, A6 processing and better battery life. More details will likely leak soon. Popular belief suggests that Apple will announce this device before holiday shopping season, most likely sometime in October.
iPads and tablets have become an essential part of professional and personal lives, so it’s important to protect them. Mobile gadget insurance brand, Protect Your Bubble, offers affordable and comprehensive iPad insurance that provides coverage for unexpected events like theft, accidental damage, loss and breakdowns outside of the manufacturer's warranty period, with 24 hour replacement of the device.
