“Recovery Radio” is sponsored by Rehab After Work/Rehab After School and will air Saturdays from 5 PM to 6PM on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT. The inaugural show will air on Saturday, September 29, 2012 and will feature the CEO and President of Onward Behavioral Health, Guy Murray, as well as the Clinical Director of Rehab After Work/Rehab After School, Tom Connell. Recovery Radio will be hosted by Steve Martorano. The purpose of Recovery Radio is to raise public awareness about addiction and its impact on individuals and families in the Delaware Valley. Recovery Radio’s sponsor, Rehab After Work/Rehab After School (http://www.rehabafterwork.com), is a large outpatient provider of substance abuse treatment with more than 20 office locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Rehab After Work/Rehab After School is a private provider of outpatient drug and alcohol counseling services and has been a leader in that industry for more than twenty years. Rehab After Work/Rehab After School is part of the Onward Behavioral Health family of companies. Rehab After Work/Rehab After School provides treatment for adolescents, adults, and families. Guy Murray, who in addition to being the CEO and President of Onward Behavioral Health is the Executive Director of Rehab After Work/Rehab After School, anticipates that Recovery Radio will provide people impacted by addiction with hope. “We are excited to sponsor Recovery Radio. We want to let people know that the disease of addiction is manageable and that there is hope for recovery. We will be providing professional experts in the fields of addiction and mental health for weekly discussions on topics related to addiction and recovery” stated Murray. Recovery Radio will be informational and will provide listeners with the opportunity to call in and ask questions of the guests. “We want to empower the public with information about addiction as well as to clarify any misconceptions people have about the disease of addiction. The show will be interactive as listeners will have the opportunity to call in and speak live with the show’s host and guests” reported Mr. Murray.

The sponsors of Recovery Radio also believe that the radio show will help to inform the public about treatment options available to those struggling with addiction. “There are a variety of treatment options available to individuals who are battling addiction as well as options for their family members who are impacted by their addiction” stated Mr. Connell. “When I got sober 30 years ago there was little flexibility in how or where one got help for their addiction. Today there are many different forms of treatment available to people regardless of their life’s circumstances. We want to empower people with information that will lead them to seek treatment if they need it’.
