After conducting user-based research, Wedding.com has found that 6 out of 10 couples rank budget as the most important factor when finding wedding vendors.

A new study by Wedding.com, a leader in online wedding planning, reveals that whether a vendor’s pricing fits into their overall budget plays the biggest role when choosing which vendors to hire. The study was conducted by Wedding.com in order to gain better insight into the needs of the thousands of couples using the website to plan their wedding.

When asked to state their most important consideration when booking wedding vendors, the majority chose budget (58%), followed by the vendor’s style (18%) and personality (12%), then experience (8%), availability (2%), and references (2%).

“The results of this study reinforce that Wedding.com is on the right track to solving the biggest challenges faced by today’s engaged couples,” says Brett Reynolds, CEO of Wedding.com. “By allowing couples to be upfront about their wedding requirements, we can make sure that each couple is matched with the best vendors based on exactly what they need.”

On Wedding.com, engaged couples can create a profile indicating the vendors they need as well as a variety of details about their wedding day. The couples then receive proposals from interested wedding vendors that meet their needs and budget, and are able to message with them to get a better understanding of their personality and the services they provided.
