Growth occurs at different rates for each child in this very important period of development that occurs rapidly, as they learn to become independent

While the quote "Children want the same things we want. To laugh, to be challenged, to be entertained and delighted" came from legendary children’s book author Dr. Seuss, it could have easily been uttered by author Rosella Calauti. A resolute advocate for early childhood education, Calauti has dedicated her career to the development of young minds. In her new book “Friends: Here...There...Everywhere!!!” (published by AuthorHouse), Calauti encourages young readers to remain secure as they journey into new, sometimes frightening situations.
“‘Friends Here... There... Everywhere...’ was written to enhance social and literacy development in young children, ages two to five,” says Calauti. “Growth occurs at different rates for each child in this very important period of development that occurs rapidly, as they learn to become independent.”
In “Friends Here... There... Everywhere...” Calauti tackles the subjects of making new friends and exploring the world around them. Ideal for teachers, parents and caregivers, the book teaches young children how to play cooperatively while holding steadfast to who they are.
The book confronts these complex issues with humor and charm, effectively illustrating even complicated matters in a way that young readers can understand.
Ever the multi-tasker, Calauti also implements reading comprehension tools in the new book.
“In addition to the topic of building friendships, this book helps develop recognition of words that are opposites and introduces adverbs,” explains Calauti. “It can motivate children to inquire about friendships, relate to them and suggests places to find friends, while strengthening reading and writing skills.”
