a place for friends has made it very easy for members to be alble to create pages about their favourite subjects. Fundamentaly is a place to meet new friends online via Chatrooms and a social network in one. With page creation added to the site, members are now able to create pages of specific interest on subjects that they find interesting, around which they can create their own communities. This is a great way for a member to build on their existing profile. When a member creates a profile they are able to fill out their likes and dislikes and anything that they want to share about themselves in their basic information section. Page creation takes takes this to the next level.

Instead of just listing a particular interest, it is now possible to embellish these interests and likes. For instance, if Joe likes tennis and football and lots of other things too, then to write about all of his interests in detail under "basic information" would cause Joes "basic information" to be overloaded. Now it is possible to create a page for each of Joes interests where Joe would be able to dedicate an entire page to "Tennis" rather than write everything that he likes about Tennis in his information section. Not only does this allow the member to have a concise and easy to read "information section" but it also allows for chat and friend communities to flourish around a core subject.

When a member creates a page they are first asked to categorise the page, for instance, "Band" or "Product". Next the user is presented with "edit page" options where they can add information, photos, change user permissions, invite friends, choose the URL for their page and assign friends as admin to that page. If the creator of the page wishes that the page be private, then this is also possible. Full privacy controls apply to page creation.

Page creation is a great way to engage other members. If other members find the subject interesting then they are likely to join in discussions and chat about the subject. In the future it will be possible for chat rooms to be created on pages.

UkChat provides Free Chat Rooms and a social network aimed at the UK demographic in one single place. UkChat is always striving to improve the quality of service it provides and will continue to do so.
