Books can be a great way to teach valuable lessons to children. However, a moral value is only properly received when it is accompanied by memorable illustrations. In the beginning, kids usually spend most of their time gazing over the children's book illustration rather than reading the words. Because of this, the illustrations need to tell the story just as clearly as the words do. A carefully crafted children's book with illustrations that bring the story to life is sure to be remembered far longer than a book with unimaginative pictures that don't draw the reader in.
Mark's love for children's books goes back to the time he spent with his grandfather. Mark's grandfather was a fellow artist who published a number of children's books that had Mark and his siblings cast as the main characters. Since then, Mark has developed and refined his ability to create pastel-like quality through Photoshop brushes. This unique technique gives Mark an endless amount of artistic possibilities as he brings the characters in the book to life through his editorial illustration.
