Granby, MA (PRWEB) September 28, 2012
Steven Griffin, Head of The MacDuffle School in Granby MA, has announced the appointment of Alex Seymour as Director of Admission. He will be responsible for all aspects of MacDuffie admissions, including financial aid. He will also serve on the School's Executive Team and on the Marketing and Communications Team.
As a graduate of a private upper school, Alex brings his first-hand personal experience as a student to the forefront in the admissions field. He comments that "being enmeshed in a private school community fosters stronger relationships and ties to an alma mater. This process begins in admissions, but it continues through a student's experience and is maintained as students become alumni."
A graduate of Mt. Ida College in Newton MA, Alex has ten years of experience in private and public education, having spent the last two years at the Linden Hill School as Associate Director of Admission and Development. His additional work as a dorm parent and student advisor provides a well rounded background which will foster the mission of The MacDuffie School. He spent several years in college level admissions at both the University of Massachusetts and Landmark College. In addition, his background includes two years in client development and nurturing in the field of global wealth management at Merrill Lynch. Alex and his wife Jennifer reside in the town of Hadley.
