UFC 154 Tickets Are Now Available . . . .

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has set the date for an epic battle between welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre and interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit. The match is St. Pierre's much awaited comeback to the Octagon after a 17-month hiatus.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming UFC 154 (pay-per-view) event which will take place on Nov. 17, 2012 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The fight night main attraction will see two champion fighters battle it out for the title.

"One of the pound-for-pound best fighters in the world, Georges St. Pierre, is coming home to Montreal to defend not only his pound-for-pound standing, but his welterweight world title. St. Pierre has been off for over a year recovering from knee surgery and now has to face his toughest test in interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit.... So on November 17th, in Montreal, Canada, it's champion vs. champion to see who will leave the undisputed UFC welterweight king!" a thrilled UFC President Dana White said as she made the official announcement on Thursday.

St Pierre admits that Condit will not be easy to take down given his excellent striking and submission skills. However, despite having a surgically repaired knee, St. Pierre is still the odds-on favorite at -350 for UFC 154. Condit for his part is the +265 underdog.

St Pierre's last match was against Jake Shields at UFC 129 in April 2011. This could be his one chance for a rebirth in the fighting ring, or it could be the match that sends him home permanently.
