CEO, Linda Guild announced today that the Talented Alliance of Part-time Professionals will launch a new professional development initiative in 2013 for companies to use with their part-time staff. With more than 33 million Americans working part-time in all levels and types of industries, it is crucial that they are well trained and integrated into a company's culture.

The new initiative will provide programs on setting goals, communication, customer service, and time management which are specifically for the part-time staff and their managers. These programs will help companies to attract and retain professional staff who choose to work reduced hours. They will be tailored to the unique needs of a company.

This new initiative dovetails the Part-time Professional of the Year Award by providing tools for every employee to be a professional. A part-time professional is a team player, a self-starter, has good communication skills, engaged, and efficient.

TAPP is the gateway to part-time – offering an online comprehensive research, resources, and community for companies and individuals. It is the only association serving the 33 million Americans who currently work part-time as well as support the companies who hire them. Basic membership is free.
