The Royal Council of Real Fairyland announced today that there’s more to the Tooth Fairy than meets the teeth! Along with inspiring imagination, fostering creativity, and encouraging children to spread kindness and change the world, The Real Tooth Fairies have developed a program to help kids with the challenges of starting or returning back to school.

“Starting a new school year can be a tough time for girls,” says Marilyn Bollinger, President of The Real Tooth Fairies, LLC, whose website, http://www.therealtoothfairies.com, focuses on girls ages 6 to 10. “They face a lot of social pressures and issues along with the responsibility of doing well in their studies. Our six diverse Tooth Fairies encourage girls to build the best school habits and a love of learning while at the same time enhancing their self-esteem so they can navigate the social issues every new school year presents.”

The Real Tooth Fairies’ focus on education is role-modeled by each girl’s Tooth Fairy who is excited about her own studies, like math and science. These fairies serve as examples of how those studies can lead to careers. “They don’t just talk the talk, they fly the flight,” says Bollinger. Gwendolyn, for example, designs magic makeup but it’s her studies as a chemist that give her the power to create the formulas and experiments. Triana rescues Furries (the creatures of Real Fairyland), but because she studies biology and is a veterinarian, she knows how to help them out when they need it. Stacey is an actress and a dancer who writes musical plays and loves writing the Real Fairyland News.

What makes http://www.therealtoothfairies.com special is that Earthie girls don’t just go there and tour The Real Fairyland. Girls read the books and play the games and get to see their own personal Tooth Fairy in action. Girls actually get to communicate with them and get their advice. This “Magic Messaging” between a tooth fairy and her Earthie girl has been arranged through inter-realm communication channels by Bollinger, who has a background in child and family therapy as well as product development for Disney, LeapFrog, and Fisher-Price. “Our goal is to connect with girls in a way that has never been done before. The Magic Letter – delivered straight to the girl’s pillow and personalized to the news a girl shared in her Magic Message - is just one of the ways to nurture this magical childhood friendship,” Bollinger says. “And now that school is back in session, it’s more important than ever for girls to have another messenger in their life affirming them and their unique talents."
