Lake Ridge Academy is pleased to present George Prescott Bush as the featured speaker at the 11th annual Diversity Forum on Friday, October 19th in The Bettcher Convocation Center. Bush will speak about “The Browning of America: Hispanicization in the 21st Century.” As the Co-Founder of Hispanic Republicans of Texas, George P. Bush will share his thoughts on the ever expanding Hispanic community.

George P. Bush is the eldest of three children of former Florida governor Jeb Bush; the nephew of the 43rd President of the United States, George W. Bush; and the grandson of the 41st President of the United States, George H.W. Bush.

Bush received his undergraduate degree from Rice University and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law in 2003. After law school, he clerked for U.S District Judge for the Northern District of Texas, Sidney A. Fitzwater.

Bush co-founded Pennybacker Capital, which invests in and operates middle market multifamily, retail, office, and industrial assets in sustainable growth markets with a primary focus on the four major Texas markets. Pennybacker Capital targets discounted properties and debt instruments that are complex, off market, and/or undervalued. George P. Bush is also a co-founder and on the board of directors of Hispanic Republicans of Texas, a political action committee whose goal is to elect Republican political candidates of Hispanic heritage to office in Texas.

George P. Bush will be speaking to Lake Ridge Academy students during Diversity Forum, a closed event. The Lake Ridge Academy Annual Diversity Forum seeks to provide a venue for student voices, and ultimately produce student leaders who will be future decision-makers.
