Cheyenne, WY (PRWEB) September 30, 2012

Leading review website for baby products, BabyGearLab.com, today announced the results of its ratings and reviews of 18 top baby bottles and Editors’ Choice awards. The winners were selected from a field of 30 bottles, from which 18 finalists underwent extensive testing in: leakage, nipple performance, ease of cleaning, ease of use, and eco-health characteristics. The testing, which was conducted by a panel of Moms and their babies aged 3 months to 9 months of age, identified the best baby bottle overall, top picks for eco-health and breast-pumping, and the best value award winner. Each bottle underwent rigorous side-by-side comparisons.

The winners are:

  •     Editors’ Choice Award – Comotomo Natural Feel. According to Dr. Juliet Spurrier, BabyGearLab’s founder, “the Comotomo impressed us with a natural breast-like approach that our tiny testers loved, and a healthy combination of silicone nipple and bottle material. We consider this a safe choice from a health perspective, and one that babies love.”
  •     Best Value Award – Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature. According to Spurrier, “With a street price around $7, this bottle delivers performance that outscored almost every other bottle we tested, but at significantly lower cost.”
  •     Top Pick Award for Eco-Health –Pura Kiki. “We’ve been impressed by recent studies that show that even BPA-free plastic may leach toxic chemicals. That’s left us, and many others, interested in evaluating bottle solutions that use safer materials like glass, stainless steel, and silicone. The Pura Kiki won our tests with impressive performance versus other bottles, while using safer materials including stainless steel bottle material, and silicone nipple.”
  •     Top Pick Award for Breast Pumping – Playtex Baby Drop-ins Premium Nurser. “Pumping breast milk is a complex, time-consuming, process and often done by a Mom who is working a day job to pay the mortgage, and up half the night to keep baby happy. The Playtex Baby Drop-in was a favorite in our tests among breast pumping Moms for convenience and leak-free feeding.”
