CMiC, the leader in creating advanced, technologically open enterprise-wide software solutions for construction and capital project management, today announced the appointment of Cameron Smith as Director of Operations. Smith will assume responsibility for all activities related to Billable Programming, Contract Programming and Customer Support Services.

Smith joins CMiC after serving as Chief Technology Officer at Penta Technologies, Inc. In this role, Smith was responsible for product development, software engineering, quality assurance and customer support. Prior to joining Penta Technologies, Smith spent 20 years at O'Brien-Kreitzberg (now URS), Hatch Associates, Meridian Systems and TRIRIGA, in various senior technology roles, with operational responsibility for large teams comprised of developers, quality assurance staff, support staff and implementation consultants.

Smith received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Melbourne and has overseen technology stacks including Oracle, J2EE, Microsoft .NET, Visual Basic, and PowerBuilder.
