While you would never go to court without a lawyer, you’re left to deal with the complex healthcare system on your own. It should be simpler.

CarePlanners™ was awarded a 2012 Caregiver Friendly® Award in the Service category by Today’s Caregiver, the first national magazine for all family and professional caregivers, and caregiver.com. The Caregiver Friendly Awards are designed to celebrate products, services, books and media created with the needs of caregivers in mind. The awards will be presented at the annual Fearless Caregiver Conference in Boca Raton, Florida on July 26th.

Founded by Alan Blaustein, cancer survivor, and Dr. Nancy Snyderman, Chief Medical Editor for NBC News, CarePlanners simplifies the healthcare system so you can make better decisions for your loved ones and yourself.

CarePlanners is a fast-growing network of 1-on-1 healthcare experts who, together with personalized online tools, help coordinate senior care services, create a plan around a new diagnosis, resolve insurance and medical billing issues, and more. Blaustein and Dr. Nancy are building a team of Careplanners who represent the full spectrum of healthcare expertise: registered nurses, social workers, Medicare experts, insurance and billing specialists, and other healthcare advocates from across the country.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized by Today’s Caregiver magazine,” said Blaustein. “Dr. Nancy and I were amazed by the limited resources available to caregivers and patients to manage their health care crises. While you would never go to court without a lawyer, you’re left to deal with the complex healthcare system on your own. It makes no sense and should be made simpler.”

“The average caregiver is responsible for more than $40,000 in health related expenditures each year, in either personal or directed funds,” said Gary Barg, Editor-in-Chief of Today’s Caregiver magazine. “This award is designed to help family caregivers recognize and reward those organizations who will care for them in as committed a manner as they care for their loved ones.”
