CRM Madness works a lot like the basketball tournament, but instead of people making their own brackets, they get to participate in the games by voting for their favorite software

Capterra, an online service that connects buyers and sellers of business software, highlights Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software this March in a new online contest called CRM Madness. With more than 350 CRM options available to businesses, CRM Madness helps companies make sense of this crowded industry by highlighting 64 top solutions and how they compare side-by-side in a bracket-style tournament.
Various company metrics, including web traffic, number of customers, and social media followers, helped Capterra’s selection committee determine the tournament contenders. Those CRM solutions were then seeded based on their overall ranking and pitted against each other in 32 first-round matchups, which begin Wednesday, March 14th.
“CRM Madness works a lot like the basketball tournament, but instead of people making their own brackets and watching the games for results, they get to participate in the games by voting for their favorite software,” said Capterra CEO, Michael Ortner.
Fans can vote for their favorite CRM up to once per day at http://crmmadness.capterra.com from March 14th through April 4th. The votes will help determine which CRMs advance through the six rounds. Capterra will announce the overall CRM champion on Thursday, April 5th.
Ortner, a Georgetown alum, believes CRM Madness is even more exciting than the basketball tournament because there’s more mystery involved. “I know Georgetown is going to win every year, but who knows what will happen with CRM Madness?”
