Survey: 59% Worried About How to Pay Off Debt

More than half of respondents said they worry about how they are going to pay off their debt, according to a CreditDonkey.com survey.

Over 7 in 10 have debt, says a new survey of more than 1,100 Americans by credit comparison website CreditDonkey.com. Out of which, 59% said they are worried about how they are going to pay off their debt.

Highlights:

  •     68% said their debt amount is similar to their peers.

  •     65% believe they can and will get out of debt in their lifetime.

  •     64% have an actionable plan for getting out of debt. Of those respondents, 79% plan to use a budget, 52% plan to get an additional job, and 31% plan to negotiate with creditors.
