Educators at leading virtual school Connections Academy are offering a free, online trivia game about technology and science. The launch of this special edition Quiz Bowl Trivia Challenge is dedicated to Digital Learning Day, which will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012.

In its inaugural year, Digital Learning Day plans to bring together educators, community leaders, parents and students in a shared goal of incorporating more digital content and technologies in classrooms to improve learning. Students enrolled at Connections Academy virtual schools are already harnessing the power of technology to realize a personalized education option and benefit from engaging online instructional tools.

Connections Academy’s Quiz Bowl Trivia Challenge ( features twenty trivia questions of varying degrees of difficulty, and promotes lively and educational discussion between parents, students, and friends of all ages. The Quiz also serves as a resource and discussion-starter for teachers looking to support Digital Learning Day.

The Quiz Bowl Trivia Challenge can be “played” online and a printable version may be downloaded for free by visiting The online version includes a special “challenge your friends” feature intended to promote discussion on the topic while sparking friendly competition.

The special technology and science edition is available for free to the public and is inspired by Connections Academy’s year-long Quiz Bowl Challenge – a popular extra-curricular school activity designed to educate and recognize students during the school year and one of the many clubs and activities students at the virtual school enjoy.
