We think one of the biggest trends in 2012 will be the requirement of integrated marketing practices, as opposed to the optional buy-in to this concept that was seen over the last couple of years.

The Ballantine Corporation, a New Jersey-based full-service direct marketing company, just released their annual complementary white paper about potential trends in direct marketing in 2012. The white paper covers trends in direct mail, email marketing, integrating traditional marketing processes with technology and social media, and other trends that are sure to be key to marketing success in the upcoming year. The trend predictions are based on the input from industry experts and Ballantine’s over 45 years of experience in direct marketing.

The white paper emphasizes that targeting and personalization will be two of the most important trends in 2012, and this will be the case across all forms of direct marketing; from direct mail to email, from landing pages to social media.
