Election Day 2012 Showcases the Drudge Report’s Growing Influence in the Media

The Drudge Report surpasses its record by serving 276 million ad impressions in one day. Intermarkets is the exclusive ad sales representative for the Drudge Report.

Since its record-setting Election Day 2008 achievement, the Drudge Report’s one-day ad impression record increased 38%.

Intermarkets, Inc., a full-service digital advertising firm, released results last week that the Drudge Report exceeded its one day record by serving more than 276 million ad impressions on Election Day 2012. In addition, it served more than 3.6 million ad impressions on the Drudge Report mobile app.

“Since its record-setting Election Day 2008 achievement, the Drudge Report’s one-day ad impression record increased 38%. With the addition of the mobile app, users are accessing new media in more than one way, as demonstrated by the huge number of visitors to the Drudge Report,” said Intermarkets Chief Operating Officer Will Trommelen.

The Drudge Report, a primary source of breaking news for the public as well as local and national media, political influencers, and opinion leaders, also topped its recent record of 1 billion page views. The website and mobile app combined exceeded 1 billion page views in October. During October and in early November before the election, 44 different political groups advertised on the Drudge Report including 40 congressional districts across 25 states.
