The free MakeWaves app makes it safe and easy for pupils of all ages to upload video and images, post comments and take part in competitions instantly from an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Specially designed teacher tools allow educators to quickly take creative learning outside the classroom and easily manage their student’s social media work anywhere.
The social learning app can be downloaded for free from the Apple app store or http://www.radiowaves.co.uk/makewavesapp
Optional teacher tools can be purchased from within the app. An Android version will be available in the Google Play store soon.
‘MakeWaves’ is being launched by Radiowaves, the international safe social learning platform and BETT ICT company of the year, as part of a suite of MakeWaves apps and online social tools launching this year.
Mark Riches, Radiowaves CEO says,
“Our aim is to help children and young people share their stories with as large an audience as possible. Over 50,000 young people are sharing their multimedia stories on the Radiowaves website already. Extending this creativity to handheld devices is a natural evolution. We are hugely excited about how schools and young people will break out of the classroom, free to create and connect from anywhere.”
The MakeWaves mobile app includes optional tools for teachers to be able to check and moderate student’s work direct from the handheld device.
