This year we’re so close to reaching our fundraising goal, we’ve decided to dedicate all of the proceeds to the current project.

The little club that does big things is at it again. On Saturday, January 21, 2012 the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Club will hold its 24th Annual Draw Down Raffle to raise funds for the Coldwater Softball/Baseball Complex Project. “Normally, our club splits the proceeds of our raffle in half and supports both a project for today and the projects of tomorrow through our endowment fund,” stated event chair Hillary Eley, “But this year we’re so close to reaching our fundraising goal, we’ve decided to dedicate all of the proceeds to the current project.” Eley noted the club is within $15,000 of its overall goal of $250,000.
One of the first organizations to hold a “draw-down” style raffle (if not the first) in Branch County in 1988, the club prides itself on providing a great evening of food and fun. Club President Bill Renner adds, “We strive every year to have a first-class event. It makes our event memorable and keeps people coming back.” In addition to the draw-down raffle, there are prize raffles, 50/50 drawings, a Las Vegas gaming area, Wii Home Run Derby, and more!
Doors at the Dearth Community Center open at 6 p.m. for the event. Purchase price of a raffle ticket includes entry into the raffle, dinner, and refreshments for the evening. More information on the event is also available on the club’s website at http://www.coldwatersunriserotary.com/annualraffle.html .
