In the last few years, Tradewind Recruitment has experienced unprecedented growth confirming its status as the foremost recruitment agency for teachers, teaching assistants and school support staff both in the United Kingdom and Australia. Its merger with SANZA Teaching Agency has made it the largest education recruiter in both countries, regularly placing more than 1000 staff per day. Both Tradewind Recruitment and SANZA Teaching Agency were recently audited and reaccredited with the Department for Education (DfE) Quality Mark, achieving a 100% score in the process.

“A DfE Quality Mark accreditation ensures that all teachers and support staff undergo stringent vetting procedures in accordance with the DfE ‘Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education’ guidelines,” Tradewind Recruitment CEO Justin James explains. The DfE and the Recruitment Employment Confederations’ (REC) “Quality Mark” is the only recognized accreditation for teacher supply agencies. It is a joint initiative of the two institutions to raise the standards for the education sector. It determines the minimum standards that agencies have to meet in recruiting and evaluating applicants for school teaching jobs.

“By using agencies that have been granted the Quality Mark, schools know they are being supplied with high quality supply staff who have been correctly vetted and that as clients, they are receiving an informed and transparent service,” James elaborates.

The agency recruits education professionals from around the globe to work in both independent and mainstream state schools in both the United Kingdom and Australasia. “It has always been our aim to understand the specific requirements of each individual candidate and use our global network to find a position to suit their needs whilst providing schools with value for money,” states James.

Tradewind Recruitment started out as 1st Contact Recruitment and its scope included the healthcare and social work markets as well. It shifted its specialization to focus solely on education and social care in 2005. “2001 will see the first element of our expansion plans come to fruition, with the establishment of our office in Central Birmingham that will serve the West Midlands, and our office in Manchester to service the North West,” relates James.

“Our company values all focus around making sure we provide our candidates with the best possible levels of service, as well as finding them suitable positions which allow them to further their careers,” he adds.

Schools and those who want to find teaching jobs are not the only ones who can benefit from the service. Tradewind Recruitment also compensates referrals. Those who refer any teachers or social workers will receive £100 cash. They may call the agency for details.
