The Prospero Foundation, founded by Ulrik DeBo of DeBondo Capital, is proud to announce that a microloan donation has been made to a female entrepreneur in The Democratic Republic Of The Congo.
Simisi is a very experienced small business owner who has taken care of her sickly husband and numerous children and grandchildren for most of her life. She has been using local lending institutions for many years, and has proved herself trustworthy and hardworking by always paying back her loans and using the funds wisely and effectively.
She sells shoes to her local community, and will purchase a further 40 pairs of shoes with the donation from The Prospero Foundation. The profit she makes will allow her to pay for school fees, medical care, food and clothing for her family.
In a country where the average annual income is $119 USD, and women are generally deemed to be the weaker sex, it is with pride that The Prospero Foundation supports the empowerment of female entrepreneurs.
