The Prospero Foundation, founded by Ulrik DeBo of DeBondo Capital, is excited to announce that a microloan donation has been made to a group of small-businesswomen in Sierra Leone.
The group is called “Bassama”, and consists of three women who each have their own business in the Eastern city of Koidu. With the help of this loan, they will be able to add more goods to their respective businesses, make more sales and increase their profit margins.
Memuna is the leader of this group, aged 37 years old, she is married to a trader, and together they have 4 children. She has been a businesswoman for seven years, selling market-food for her local community – rice, palm oil, salt, pepper, etc. With her share of this loan, she will buy the above-mentioned items in bulk, at a cheaper rate, so that she can make a larger profit to invest further and take care of her family.
The Prospero Foundation is proud to have supported this hard-working group of individuals and contribute to the global empowerment of women.
