Most online children's ministry websites are focused on large churches with big budgets. So WellEquippedVolunteer.com has launched to help children's ministry volunteers in small and rural churches.

New Site Launches Free Resources For Children's Ministry Volunteers

Children's ministry volunteers in small churches are passionate about sharing God's truth... I want to put resources and tools into those volunteers' hands.

There are many resources available online for children's ministry workers but most sites are focused on large urban churches. Small and rural churches are overlooked because their children's ministry has little or no budget and is often run by volunteers. Well-Equipped Volunteer is a new website that provides free resources and tools to those overlooked volunteers from small churches.

Well-Equipped Volunteer recently launched to empower children's ministry volunteers who serve in small churches and rural churches by delivering a variety of free information and insight, useful tools and advice, seminars and webinars, recommendations and reviews, and much more.

Janelle Hoos is the founder of Well-Equipped Volunteer and she brings her experience to the project: "I grew up serving in small churches and rural churches throughout Western Canada, and I know the challenges and struggles that these children's ministry volunteers have. They have a lot of passion for their ministry but very few resources and guidance that will work in their situation. That's why I created Well-Equipped Volunteer, because those hard-working children's ministry volunteers need access to information that they just aren't getting."

Large church resources are all about putting on a big program that gets kids excited to hear the gospel message, Janelle explained, but small churches have a hard time doing the same thing when they have just a half-dozen children and zero budget, and when unpaid volunteers bring a lot of enthusiasm but receive very little training.

At WellEquippedVolunteer.com, children's ministry volunteers get access to free information and training through the regularly-updated blog posts that deliver practical, gospel-centered advice and insight derived from Janelle's many years of children's ministry. Information is divided into key sections that volunteers frequently encounter, including programming, training, administration, recruiting and more.

Volunteers also enjoy the free resources pages that connect them to a growing collection of useful resources like free coloring pages, free games, free crafts, and more, which eases Sunday School and weekly program planning.

And children's ministry leaders are signing up at Well-Equipped Volunteer to receive the free ebook, 20 Ways To Make Recruiting Easier, and the free weekly children's ministry newsletter, because recruiting is one of the most difficult tasks even at the best of times.

Seminars, webinars, ebooks, and a print book are in the process of being developed – each resource created exclusively with the small church children's ministry volunteer in mind.

"Children's ministry volunteers in small churches are passionate about sharing God's truth with their young students but they don't always have access to the resources that larger churches have. I want to put some resources and tools into those volunteers' hands and empower them to be effective in this vital ministry," said Janelle Hoos.

Janelle Hoos holds a Bachelor of Religious Education and has enjoyed over two decades of professional and volunteer experience in children's ministry throughout Western Canada. She lives in Winnipeg Canada and delivers in-person seminars and online webinars to help train children's ministry volunteers. WellEquippedVolunteer.com is becoming an essential go-to resource site that empowers children's ministry volunteers, and its library of free resources is growing quickly.
